Alumni who have attended a conference or one of the regional Champions training sessions are eligible to apply for funding. Each grant will be in the range of $1,000-5,000, although exceptions may be made to accommodate exceptionally ambitious projects. The funds directed per proposal will depend on the project's potential impact and is intended to cover anticipated expenses during the project.

Total funding available in 2012 is $75,000 for projects with anticipated completion dates before August 31, 2013.

To access the funding, all alumni must submit a completed funding application by midnight on October 21, 2012, to impact@cooperators.ca

For alumni who have never received IMPACT! funding before OR who have received IMPACT! funding for a project unrelated to the current application please complete and return the Funding Application.

For alumni who have received IMPACT! funding in the past and are looking to extend that funding; renewal funding is available. In order to qualify for renewal funding, all reporting required for previous funding periods MUST be up-to-date. In order to be considered, please complete and return the Renewal Application.

Important Notice to Potential Applicants:

A project owner must be identified in the proposal. In all cases, the project owner must also be an IMPACT! alumni. Although not necessary for the project owner to own the entire project, they are expected to be heavily involved and to own the relationship with The Co-operators, taking ultimate responsibility for receiving and managing the IMPACT! grant funds, signing and adhering to the Letter of Agreement, and submitting the progress and final evaluation reports.

Travel, conferences, wages, political activities (as defined by Canada Revenue Agency), for-profit organizations and fundraising initiatives are not eligible for funding. Any exceptions must be approved by The Co-operators and included in the original Letter of Agreement prior to the disbursal of funds.
